How settlement works
Each pick is settled at the better of the 10:30 UK captured price or the Starting Price, staked as the bet type the model recommends. This reflects Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG), which most UK bookmakers offer on win singles taken from early morning through to the off. Win Only at stake S: outlay £S, returns S × (price − 1) if it wins, otherwise −£S. Each-Way at stake S: outlay £2S (£S win + £S place); the win half pays S × (price − 1) if it wins, the place half pays S × (price − 1) × place fraction if it finishes in the official places, each half loses £S otherwise.
Place positions (UK rules):
- 5–7 runners: 2 places at 1/4 odds
- 8+ non-handicap and 8–11 handicap: 3 places at 1/5 odds
- 12–15 runner handicap: 3 places at 1/4 odds
- 16+ runner handicap: 4 places at 1/4 odds
Because outlay differs by bet type, the headline figures are Net P&L and ROI (comparable across bet types). Total outlay is shown as supporting detail. Real-world returns depend on your bookmaker actually offering BOG and you taking the morning price.
