PaddocksEdge is operated by Maitland Agency Limited. When we refer to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean Maitland Agency Limited.

We collect the following personal data when you use PaddocksEdge:

• Account information: Your email address and name when you create an account.
• Payment information: When you subscribe, payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card details - Stripe handles this on our behalf. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and the last four digits of your card for reference.
• Usage data: We collect anonymised usage data to understand how the app is used, including pages visited, features used, and session duration. This helps us improve the product.
• Cookies: We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and functional cookies to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use your personal data to:

• Provide and maintain your PaddocksEdge account.
• Process your subscription payments through Stripe.
• Send you essential service communications (e.g. subscription confirmations, password resets).
• Improve the product based on anonymised usage patterns.

We will never sell your personal data to third parties. We will never send you marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase - database and authentication hosting.
• Stripe - payment processing.
• Vercel/Lovable - application hosting.

Each of these services has their own privacy policy and handles data in accordance with their own terms.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data - request a copy of what we hold.
• Correct inaccurate data - let us know and we will update it.
• Delete your data - request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to processing - you can object to how we use your data.
• Data portability - request your data in a portable format.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons. Anonymised usage data (which cannot identify you personally) may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication is handled by Supabase with industry-standard encryption.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the app.
